San Gimignano Vernaccia

Nobile di Montepulciano

Wine Tour

Nobile wine is made around the hill that is crowned by the town of Montepulciano, which is not to be confused with the Montepulciano grape varietal predominantly growing along the Adriatic coast. The Vino Nobile is produced with a local clone of the Sangiovese grape called Prugnolo and has a proud history. Explore wineries of the area and taste the Rosso and Nobile wines from inside old cellars within the medieval city walls, just paces from the town’s main square.
