THE COMPANY
Papilio SRL is a licensed, authorized and insured travel agent focalized on incoming tour services operated under the name of Tuscan Escapes. A wide selection of tours, tickets for activities and tourist services are offered in the Siena province of Tuscany in particular, and around greater Tuscany in general. Papilio SRL is a wine shop and wine bar located in Siena’s historic center operating under the name of Tuscan Wine School, which offers a series of wine-related services to locals and tourists alike, including the online sales of Tuscan Wines. The company’s opening times vary throughout the year.

INCLUSIVITY AND INDIVIDUAL RESPONSIBILITY
Tuscan Escapes and Tuscan Wine School owned by Papilio SRL in Italy provide services to travelers from all over the world without bias towards gender, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation or political affiliation. All queries and customers are assumed to refer to adults unless specified otherwise and Papilio SRL must be notified of persons under the age of 18 traveling without their parents or legal guardians. All customers who have purchased Tours or Services are presumed to be adults and Papilio SRL will not be held responsible for tours booked by persons under age. Where applicable, Papilio SRL provides discounted rates for children under the age of 12. Papilio SRL creates and offers Tours and Services which include supplies and services rendered by third party members such as local professionals, artisans, merchants, farms, wineries, restaurants and other venues and rental services. Papilio SRL shall not be held responsible for any changes or omissions made by such suppliers, nor for any delays or cancelations due to circumstances beyond its control: heavy traffic or jams, road interventions or closed roads, extraordinary sporting events, strikes or demonstrations, adverse weather conditions. All customers reserving or purchasing any Tours or Services accept Papilio’s right to change itineraries or cancel tour components or inclusions if necessary, making every effort to offer alternative itineraries and inclusions that are satisfying and safe. In case of vehicle immobilization due to mechanical failure, damage or accident, Papilio will do its best to guarantee continuity with another vehicle. Papilio SRL cannot be liable for third suppliers' scheduling, behavior or handling of personal effects and cannot guarantee the return of forgotten personal goods or baggage left behind on vehicles or any other location. Papilio SRL cannot accept responsibility for passengers failing to be at designated pick up points at designated times. We remind customers that alcohol should be consumed responsibly and that the Tour Operator will not be liable for any alcohol abuse in any form or fashion, including damages and medical treatments. Individuals are responsible for themselves. Any damages made to belongings other than your own, whether they be the Tour Operator’s, another customer’s or belonging to any of the venues visited on Tour will require payment or replacement. No alcohol or food is allowed on Tour vehicles and smoking is forbidden inside any venue we visit. Given that the Driver’s responsibility is engaged during transportation, they are required to apply and enforce all laws. Customers shall make no requests to exceed the authorized speed limit or to commit breaches of any traffic rules.

Papilio SRL has taken the greatest care to ensure the accuracy of all information contained in this website. All text descriptions and images used in relation to the services advertised have been prepared in good faith. Certain services or facilities may become limited or unavailable during the low season, dictated by low demand or local circumstances, unsuitable weather conditions or the necessity for maintenance or redecoration on behalf of third parties. The validity and availability of any service or facility will have to confirmed directly by Papilio SRL. The tour operator cannot accept responsibility for any of the limiting causes that are outside of its control and declines any responsibility for modifications that are made to the facilities or services provided by third parties.
CONDITIONS
RESERVATIONS AND BOOKINGS
The reservation of Tours and Services will have to be made using the appropriate booking method. Day Trips and shared Experiences can be purchased and paid for via the incorporated booking engine, BookingKit, whereas Private Tours and Services will need to be requested directly, electronically or via telephone. The Tour Operator can be contacted through the various tour-specific contact forms provided on this website, through online chat, directly via email to info@tuscanescapes.com and via telephone to +39 389 0487652. The acceptance of the reservation will be completed, and the contract is therefore considered valid, only when the customer receives a valid voucher via BookingKit or a confirmation email from the Tour Operator directly.

CHANGES AND CANCELATIONS
Any changes to tours and services will have to be made directly through the BookingKit platform or requested in writing via email directly to the Tour Operator. Any itinerary changes or rescheduling of tours and services will be confirmed and considered valid only if in writing or through the receipt of a new, valid voucher. Cancelations of Day Trips, Experiences, Private Tours and Services are only accepted in writing via email and calculated on Italian Time. The canceled Tour or Service and any refunds that will be made are confirmed via email or voucher. We do our best to reschedule, refund or issue vouchers for confirmed tours and services that need to be changed or canceled whenever possible. When alternatives cannot be offered or are declined, we will comply with our cancelation policy.

PAYMENT PROCESSING
Papilio SRL manages the payment for its Day trips and Experiences via the BookingKit platform, whereas deposits for Itineraries and Services are handled securely online through STRIPE payment gateway. The balance for tours and services can also be made securely online or with a credit card directly on the day of the tour or service. By virtue of this, any commissions or payment processing fees constitute an agreement between the user and their bank or monetary circuits and the payment platforms and gateways provided, for which the Tour Operator cannot be held responsible. Other payment options can be evaluated and accepted exclusively in writing.
ELECTRONIC COMMUNICATIONS
When users visit the Tuscanescapes.com or Tuscanwineschool.com websites, fill in website contact forms or send emails to info@tuscanescapes.com and tuscanwineschool@gmail.com directly, they are communicate with Papilio SRL and agree to receive communications in return, via email or through other channels. Users can decline to receive email communications at any time by writing to Papilio SRL directly o unsubscribing from the newsletter.

PERSONS UNDER 18 YEARS OF AGE
Papilio SRL accepts bookings and requests made from persons under 18 years of age, provided that they have written permission from their parents or guardians. Alcoholic beverages will not be served to persons under the age of 18 in compliance with Italian National Law.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF SPECIFIC SERVICES
1. GROUP TOURS: DAY TRIPS AND EXPERIENCES
Day Trips and Experiences do not include pick-up services from destinations or drop-off services to destinations that are different from those described and specified during the booking procedure. Hotel pick-up and drop-offs and other specific transportation or meeting point requests can be made to the Tour Operator directly and must be confirmed in writing together with the extra fee that will need to be paid wherever necessary. It is the customer’s responsibility to be at the meeting point for the start of the Day Trip and/or Experience at the given Starting Time. The Tour Operator is not expected to wait for late comers and booked services are not refunded in case of no shows. The full payment of the Day Trip or Experience is made upon purchase of the participation ticket which is confirmed via voucher issued by the booking engine BookingKit on behalf of the Tour Operator. Cancelation of confirmed Day Trips and Experiences can be made via BookingKit or by contacting Papilio SRL directly. All cancelations received within 48 hours before the start of the Day Trip or Experience will be fully refunded. No refunds will be provided for cancelations made less than 48 hours before service and for no shows.

2. PRIVATE TOURS: ITINERARIES AND SERVICES
Private Tours and Services can be customized during the reservation process between the customer and Papilio SRL. The exact itinerary, inclusions and pricing of the Day Trip or Service will be agreed upon, and confirmed or completed through the payment of a deposit or full payment. The Private Tour or Service will be considered booked, and the contract therefore considered finalized, upon receipt of payment by Papilio SRL, which will be confirmed in writing. Changes to the meeting point or time, the itinerary or inclusions must be requested, agreed upon and confirmed in writing. Cancelations of confirmed Private Tours and Services must be made by contacting Papilio SRL directly. All cancelations received within 7 days before the start of the Service will be fully refunded, minus a €50 fee which will be held from the deposit for organizational and administrative costs. Any additional, non-refundable expenses like purchased admission tickets will also be withheld. A refund of 50% of the deposit will be provided for all cancelations received between 6 days and 48 hours prior to service. No refunds will be provided for cancelations made less than 48 hours before service and for no shows.

3. CANCELATION POLICY
Cancelations received within 48 hours before the start of Group Tours and Activities (Day Trip or Experiences) will be fully refunded. A 50% refund of the deposit for Private Tours and Services will be provided to cancelations received between 6 days and 48 hours prior to service. No refunds will be provided for cancelations made less than 48 hours before any Tour, Activity of Service and for No Shows.

4. VACATIONS OR SERVICES THAT INCLUDE THIRD-PARTY ACCOMMODATION
Papilio SRL acts as a travel agent for carefully selected hotels, villas or accommodation options that are independently owned and managed by third parties. The customer who chooses to reserve accommodation through Papilio SRL agrees to have arrangements and bookings made on their behalf, conditions and pricing for which will be communicated by the Tour Operator. During the booking process, Papilio SRL may require a valid credit card number to be supplied to the hotel as a booking guarantee. The acceptance of any reservation will be completed, and the contract therefore considered finalized, only once Papilio SRL sends a confirmation voucher via email with indications on how final payment is to be made. The Tour Operator cannot be held responsible for any personal injury or property damage, accident or inconvenience caused by third party accommodations. By engaging Papilio SRL for the reservation of third party accommodation, the customer agrees that the Tour Operator will not become liable in any case or form and that any damage claims or refunds will be sought out directly from the accommodation property. Papilio SRL will abide by the third party’s requested cancelation policy and these will be communicated to the customer and confirmed via the confirmation voucher. Please be advised that cancellations are only accepted in writing and calculated on Italian Standard Time.

5. E-BIKE AND BIKE TOURS
Upon booking a bike or e-bike tours, customers understand that they are agreeing to rent biking equipment through Papilio SRL and that their total height will have to be communicated in order to select the appropriate height-specific equipment. Every participant on tour will have to agree that they alone are responsible for their own well-being and for their rented equipment. Before departure, each participant will have to sign a waiver to declare that they are willingly participating on the itinerary with the equipment provided and that they alone are responsible, and willing to pay, for any damages that may incur on their person, on other persons or to the equipment for which they are responsible. Papilio SRL will not be held responsible for their health or any damage made to themselves or third parties, including the equipment. Furthermore, all customers must be willing to sign a declaration that states that they are in good physical condition and that they are not suffering a heart condition or any other ailments that might be aggravated by strenuous activity, for which Papilio SRL will not be liable.
6. HIKING TOURS
Upon booking a hiking or active tour, customers understand that they are agreeing to undertake a potentially strenuous walk outside of urban areas and that they alone are responsible for their own well-being. Papilio SRL will not assume any risks related to, or be considered responsible for, accidents or falls due to the conditions of the road, traffic or the affects of weather, including rain, heat and mud.

7. VILLA SERVICES
Papilio SRL acts as an agent for carefully selected travel services including wine tasting, painting and other classes, cooking and entertainment services and other offers provided at the customers’ villa or accommodation. These services are frequently provided by independent professionals or companies owned and managed by third parties. The customer who chooses to book services through Papilio SRL agrees to have arrangements and bookings made on their behalf, conditions and pricing for which will be communicated by the Tour Operator throughout the booking process. The exact timing, duration, contents, inclusions and payment options of any service will be agreed upon and the acceptance of any booking will be completed, and the contract therefore considered finalized, only once Papilio SRL sends a confirmation voucher via email. The Tour Operator cannot be held responsible for any personal injury or property damage, accident or inconvenience caused by third party services. By engaging Papilio SRL for the booking of third party services, the customer agrees that the Tour Operator will not become liable in any case or form and that any damage claims or refunds will be sought out directly from the third party. Papilio SRL will abide by the third party’s requested cancelation policy, which will be communicated to the customer and confirmed via the confirmation voucher. Please be advised that cancellations are only accepted in writing and calculated on Italian Standard Time.
