Day 1. 

Arrive to the Villa settle in, get to know the house you will be spending the week in and enjoy a traditional Tuscan meal prepared for you in the comfort of your Villa.

 

 

Day 2.
Pienza and Montalcino  ‘Cheese and Brunello Wine Tour’

Make your way through idyllic landscapes and carefully tended hills to an organic dairy farm for a morning pecorino cheese tasting on a terrace overlooking the beautiful valley of the Val d’Orcia. See Pienza the pretty hill town famous for its renaissance architecture and beautiful views before heading to the hill town and famous wine region of Montalcino, visit the town and the ancient abbey of Sant Antimo before heading to a family run winery for a home cooked meal and wine pairing with the rich flavours of the Brunello wines. In the afternoon tour a smaller organic producer for more tastings of this nectar of the gods.

 

Day 3. 
San Gimignano and Siena ‘Medieval Tuscany sightseeing tour’

Enjoy the magic of San Gimignano in the morning, walk the streets and visit the shops of this ancient and still vibrant medieval merchant ‘town of towers’. Savor a fresh lunch on an organic saffron farm with traditional dishes caringly prepared for you with the products of the farm.

Visit the historical medieval centre of Siena in the company of an authorized city guide and discover its fascinating history and proud traditions. Enter the Duomo of Siena with your guide and take in the wealth of art and detail. Personal time visiting more of Siena and its many shops and pretty piazzas. Evening reservations at one of the town’s best restaurant for dinner before return transfer to your Villa.

 

Day 4.
Evening Cooking Class ‘A relaxing day in the Villa’

After the long and eventful previous day you will enjoy a day of relaxing in the Villa practicing the local pastime of ‘sweet doing nothing’ and spending time taking in the beautiful countryside, catching some sun by the pool or chatting with friends.

A refreshing light lunch will be brought to your Villa, and in the evening you will meet with your local housewife for a fun and informal cooking class in the comfort of your Villa’s Kitchen. During the class you will learn to make fresh pasta and other traditional Italian dishes before sitting down for the meal you prepared yourselves. On request it is possible to have some local folk musicians come and liven up your evening with traditional Italian songs and dances.

 

 

Day 5.
Maremma and Castles ‘Unchartered Tuscany’

Visit old quiet towns perched on hilltops with very little toursists and crowned with abandoned castles, explore forgotten abbeys harbouring authenitc miracles and enjoy lunch on a farm in the southern Tuscan region of Maremma. In afternoon visit ancient towns carved from the soil and hike on Etruscan millenia old trails. Finally. Stop for dinner in local trattoria to savor some of that rich Maremma cuisine before retuning to the Villa.  

Day 6.
Chianti and Florence - ‘wine and history’

Visit the hills and pretty villages of the Chianti Classico north of Siena and enjoy a winery tour followed by a light lunch and wine tasting. Meet a private guide in Florence and let her introduce you to the city and its many sites on a walking Florence tour. Personal time in the evening for having dinner or drinks and enjoying the ‘week-end vibe’ of the town’s historical centre.

Day 7.

Hike to Monteriggioni with wine tasting and lunch.

Leisurely 3 hour hike crossing forests and fields on an old pilgrim route in the morning . Visit historical sights and the beautifully preserved fortress of Monteriggioni. Taste local organic wines in the fortress and enjoy a light lunch or picnic with view before returning top the villa. Evening event and dinner at the villa.

Day 8.
Brunch and Goodbyes

Morning relax at the villa, possibility of receiving massage or yoga session in morning at the villa. good wholesome lunch at Villa before transfer to next destination.
