San Gimignano & Cheese Making Family Friendly Tour

Description

Discover astonishing Monteriggioni, a fortress crowned with towers which was known to be impregnable and has indeed survived the centuries, a perfectly preserved jewel characterized by high fortified walls today. There is almost no traffic within Monteriggioni, making it a great place for children to really enjoy themselves.

Continue the day to a traditional Tuscan farm and learn how to make cheese in an active way, great fun to be had for everyone! After having prepared your cheese we sit down and savour a light lunch in the farm's dining room.

After lunch, explore the famous medieval hill town of towers, San Gimignano, a perfect stage for kids, who will love romping through its pedestrian only historical centre. Let us take you back 700 years and learn how the city was built and how the people lived at that time with the aid of the Miniature Museum, a meticulous and scaled reconstruction of the City as it was in 1300. Made entirely by hand, this exhibit brings to life the city’s architectural and historical past with artistic creativity.

Enjoy the best ice cream of the world before ending the tour sitting on the beautiful main square, the Piazza della Cisterna with its big central well.
