Our trip starts with the drive to Lucca, a beautiful walled Tuscan town of the kind you see depicted in travel magazines, rent bikes and enjoy a riding around the centre, perfect for kids because it’s flat and not too touristy. Bike around the centre and beautiful city walls admiring the sights and the views on Lucca and the surrounding mountains.
After we drop off the bikes, we can climb the Giunigi tower: with its large oak trees growing on its roof and witness one of the most striking views of the city.
Savour a Yummy ice cream and visit the marvelous squares and churches and enjoy lunch at your own leisure in one of the many cafes and restaurants of town. Continue out of town to the village of Collodi, a must-see for families, it is here that the famous Pinocchio tale was written. Enter an adventure park where the fairytale comes to life with live shows and works of art, mosaics and buildings in the Pinocchio theme. Children can have fun with the many games and carousels and in at the “Learn and play labs” with activities like painting, decorating, mask and marionette creation or just playing with Master Geppetto’s Games.
