The ancient pilgrim route of the via Francigena was for the first time plotted down by the Arcbishop Sigeric on his way back to Cantebury from Rome. It was then for many centuries considered the main artery to Rome across Europe. This route, that has for centuries been a highway of men and emotions, a spiritual pilgrimage of men and a trade route for many more was then forgotten and almost entirely relegated to history by the modern paved car roads. Only recently the route has been brought back from the grip of modernity and is today enjoyed by many pilgrims and hikers alike. The via Francigena will bring you to discover some of the prettiest Hill Towns, imposing castles and medieval villages as well as bringing you through the heart of Tuscany's stunning nature.
The Itinerary may change a little according to availability but will maintain the same general imprint.
This tour will start with a minimum of 2 participants and needs to be booked 1 month in advance.
We will contact you in case of modifications required due to availability and/or location/type of accommodation.
