After following panoramic roads and stopping to visit a medieval castle or abbeys, we will reach San Gimignano where, following a stretch of the ancient pilgrimage route of the Via Francigena and exploring some of the characteristic alleys we will visit the fort and climb one of its turrets to admire the view of San Gimignano and its surroundings in all its splendor. You will then have some time off to either visit the town, do some shopping in the many boutiques selling the products of the area, enter the Cathedral to admire its many frescoes or perhaps climb the main tower.
After our stop in San Gimignano we will abandon the crowds of tourists and go on an authentic countryside outing in the Chianti and visit wineries, a stop for a walk in the town of Castellina in Chianti before visiting another bigger winery where we will tour the cellars and learn about the making of the wines before we heading back to your accommodation.
