Chianti and San Gimignano

Our afternoon starts climbing the hills of the Chianti and meeting the proud wine producers of this area, here we will tour cellars and sit down for wine tastings. Later, we make our way to San Gimignano and take in its magic, which is best appreciated when the crowds of the day have thinned out and the town reveals itself to the warm evening light. Walk the streets and visit the shops of this ancient and still vibrant merchant ‘town of towers’. In the evening enjoy dinner on a local farm overlooking the towers of San Gimignano and the soft rolling vine covered hills during Sunset.  

This tour begins after Lunch around 2.30pm, we then head into the Chianti for wine tastings and a walk in the town of Castellina in Chianti. In the late afternoon we visit San Gimignano, followed by some personal time to look at the shops. In the evening we tour a local farm and enjoy a Tuscan dinner during sunset with the characteristic backdrop of San Gimignano’s famous ‘Skyline’. Return to Siena around 11pm.

This tour is available from May to October when daylight hours are longer. For the rest of the year this tour will be replaced by a different off the beaten path tour.
